Dear Crossroads Families and Individuals,

It is the most serious matter that brings this letter to you. While you may be going about your precious life, it is quite evident that there are many calamities going on in the world during this time. We are living in a time of “The Signs of the Times and the End of the Age” that the Bible speaks of. These signs are prophesies of what Jesus said will happen in the last days.

You may ask, “Which signs?” They are happening right now: Wars, rumors of wars, pestilences like Covid-19, famines, earthquakes in various places, the devastating fires in LA, the devastating floodings and even (the Guadalupe) in our own state. The Bible calls these calamities, “the beginning of sorrows”. This was prophesied in the Bible and the prophesy is unfolding right before our eyes.

Matthew 24:3-8 NKJV

3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Your soul is of great value to God whether you believe in Him or not:

1. You are worth more than any material thing this world can give. This verse speaks of one soul (singular) being more valuable than all material things this world could give. Even if you think you are worthless, your soul is worth more than gold to God! (Matthew 16:26

26 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?)

2. God in this manner loved the world: Christ Jesus was crucified for the sins of the world but only for those who believe. He took action for you - He didn’t just say “I love you” in John 3:16 and do nothing. Love is action according to God.

1 John 3:16 NKJV

16 By this we know love, because He laid down His life for us.

3. So valuable your soul is to Jesus that Jesus commands His disciples to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ Who was crucified to every ethnicity. Yes, He commands!

Mark 16:15 NKJV

15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.

4. Jesus is so serious about your soul that your blood is on the hands of every believer in Jesus Christ if he doesn’t bring the message of Jesus Christ to you.

Mark 8:35 NKJV

35 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.

Ezekiel 33:7-9 NKJV

7 “So you, son of man: I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore you shall hear a word from My mouth and warn them for Me. 8 When I say to the wicked, ‘O wicked man, you shall surely die!’ and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand. 9 Nevertheless if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.

I urge you, in light of God’s love for you, to repent and be saved since the day is approaching when it will be too late. The window of opportunity will not always be open. If one does not believe in Jesus Christ, then the wrath of God remains on that person because of sin. God is merciful, though, and does not wish for anyone to lose his soul. This is why He sent His only Son Jesus to die for the sins of the world. Since Jesus was crucified. A man will not go to hell any longer because of sin, but; a man will go to hell because he did not receive the forgiveness that Jesus gives. If in this country, people are tried for crimes in criminal court, can a man walk away because he doesn’t believe in the judicial system? Can he just say, “I don’t believe in the judicial system” and walk away free? No! It doesn’t matter whether he believes in the system or not, but with enough evidence he can be found guilty by the court of law. Perhaps, he could run away and hide from the judicial system which cannot see everything. How much more can we not hide from God who sees everything? God is more merciful than man and His desire is that you be saved from eternal judgement.

John 3:36 NKJV

“He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

Romans 10:9 NKJV

“that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

If you or your family wish to be saved, please confess with your mouth this prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank you for sending Jesus Christ to save me. Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for me. Please forgive me of my sins. I confess You Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Please fill me with your precious Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name. Amen!

Understanding the righteousness of God

If we could be saved by just merely being a good person, then Jesus would have never come to die for our sins, but He didn’t come for those who say that they are already good. He came for those who’ll admit they have sinned. All have sinned.

Romans 3:21-23 NKJV -God’s Righteousness through faith in Jesus, the Word of God

21 But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22 even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe. For there is no difference; 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

There is righteousness that comes from “the works of the law”. The law is the commandments that God gave. But this righteousness cannot give us salvation. This kind of righteousness sounds like this:

“I am a good person. I always go to church, pray, and do good things so I am saved and I don’t have to worry about this stuff”

Do you see this statement is all about what “I do”. When we focus on “I” then we have missed the point. We cannot make ourselves holy on our own. If we could make ourselves holy, then Jesus died in vain. The Word says that Jesus Himself is our righteousness. If we can earn holiness, then Jesus would not have come.

 Galatians 2:16 NKJV

16 knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.

1 Corinthians 1:30 NKJV

30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—

Does this mean that the law is bad? No, it does not. The law is good, but people began to see it as a way to earn holiness rather than it being from God through love.

See this example: A person is driving in a school zone that says 20 miles per hour.

Law: This person sees the flashing speed limit sign and thinks “I don’t want to get a ticket” so they slow down to not go over the speed limit. If this person is having their own righteousness about it they may boast about how they don’t have any tickets on their record, and how good of a citizen they are.

Love: “School’s in session. I better slow down because I don’t want to accidentally hit a child with my car.” This is love and Love does not boast (1 Corinthians 13:4-7)

The law is good because it caused you to obey the required speed limit, but the law cannot teach you to do it for the right reasons. Jesus Christ came to show us how to do it for the right reasons and that is called love. So, in the same way, we are not saved by just merely going to church, praying, and “being a good person”. We are only saved by faith in Jesus Christ for our salvation. Faith works through love and there is a righteousness that is apart from the law and His name is Jesus.

Philippians 3:9 NKJV

and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;

Romans 3:24-26 NKJV

24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26 to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

Reasons to love Jesus that you might not have known:

1. Jesus was crucified for us which is enough, but it was in the winter. It was cold!

John 18:18 NKJV

18 Now the servants and officers who had made a fire of coals stood there, for it was cold, and they warmed themselves. And Peter stood with them and warmed himself.

John 19:23 NKJV

23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took His garments and made four parts, to each soldier a part, and also the tunic. Now the tunic was without seam, woven from the top in one piece.

2. The Father would’ve sent 12 legions of angels if Jesus would’ve asked and the world would’ve been destroyed. Instead, He said, “Father, forgive them…”

Matthew 26:53 NKJV

53 Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels?

Romans 9:29 NKJVf

29 And as Isaiah said before: “Unless the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we would have become like Sodom, and we would have been made like Gomorrah.”

3. Jesus was tempted in all points as we are. He still never gave in to temptation.

Hebrews 4:14-16 NKJV - Our Compassionate High Priest

14 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

4. Jesus priced at 30 pieces of silver by man who is less than Him, but He Who is worth more than us, valued mankind with His love and paid with His blood.

Matthew 27:9 NIV

9 Then what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled: “They took the thirty pieces of silver, the price set on him by the people of Israel,

Ephesians 1:7 NKJV

7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace

5. They mocked Him and He could’ve said, “I’ve had enough” but His great and patient love still didn’t give up on mankind. Instead, He gave up His own spirit

Luke 18:32 NKJV

32 For He will be delivered to the Gentiles and will be mocked and insulted and spit upon.

Luke 23:46 NKJV

46 And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, “Father, ‘into Your hands I commit My spirit.’ ” Having said this, He breathed His last.

6. They plucked out His beard, yet He knows the number of hairs on your head.

Isaiah 50:6 NKJV

6 I gave My back to those who struck Me,
And My cheeks to those who plucked out the beard;
I did not hide My face from shame and spitting.

Luke 12:7 NKJV

7 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.

I urge you to take seriously this plea for your soul, that you may be saved:

You say: “I am not religious”

Truth: Jesus didn’t come to point His finger at you or to destroy mankind. He came to save you. He even saved an adulterous woman from being stoned.

Luke 9:56 NKJV

56 For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives but to save them.” And they went to another village.

John 8:1-12 NKJV - Jesus the Light of the World

8 But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. 2 Now early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them. 3 Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, 4 they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act. 5 Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?” 6 This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear.

7 So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” 8 And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. 9 Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10 When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” 11 She said, “No one, Lord.” and Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” 12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

You say: I believe in many gods and respect all beliefs

Truth: There is only one God

Exodus 20:3-4 NKJV

3 “You shall have no other gods before Me. 4 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image—any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth;

Matthew 6:24 NKJV - You Cannot Serve God and Riches

24 “No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.

You say: I believe in God or possible higher power only, but I do not believe in Jesus.

Truth: No sinful man can approach God. Be cleansed by the blood of Jesus. You need a Way to get to the Where. The Bible says the Father is the Where and Jesus the Way.

 John 14:6 NKJV

6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

John 14:1-6 NKJV  - The Way, the Truth, and the Life

14 “Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. 2 In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. 4 And where I go you know, and the way you know.” 5 Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?” 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

You say: “I am an atheist” or “there is no proof of God”

Truth: God loves you dearly that He was foolish enough to die for you if you will believe. It also takes faith to believe there is no God. God loves you anyway even if you turned atheist because you were mad at Him. Perhaps, something bad happened in your life or to a loved one and you didn’t understand why could God let that happen? Or, you just believe in scientific evidence. God says He has provided enough evidence already. There is already proof that many prophesies have already come to pass.

Romans 1:20-21 NKJV

20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21. because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened.

1 Corinthians 1:18-25 NKJV - Christ the Power and Wisdom of God

18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19 For it is written:

“I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”

20 Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. 22 For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom; 23 but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, 24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
